This year, one such deeply emotional and inspiring story has emerged from Worli, Mumbai, where Prathmesh Shinde secured the top rank in Mumbai in the HSC Science stream with an exceptional 96.5% score.

Prathmesh’s father works in the Protection Branch of the Mumbai Police Department, a job filled with responsibility, pressure, and long working hours. His mother, a homemaker, dedicated herself entirely to creating a peaceful and encouraging environment at home so that her son could focus on his studies without distractions.
For the Shinde family, education was not merely a goal — it was a collective mission.
Perhaps the most touching part of this journey was the silent sacrifice made by Prathmesh’s younger brother, who voluntarily stopped watching television for two years so that the atmosphere at home remained calm and study-friendly.
It was not just Prathmesh preparing for exams.
The entire family was preparing for his future.
At a time when students are constantly surrounded by distractions like mobile phones, social media, gaming, and entertainment, Prathamesh made choices that reflected maturity far beyond his age. He stayed away from unnecessary mobile usage and avoided anything that could divert his attention from his goals.
Yet, surprisingly, his success did not come from exhausting study schedules or sleepless nights.
“I studied only for two to three hours daily, but I was fully consistent. I never waited for exams to come closer before starting preparation,” says Prathmesh.
His words carry an important lesson for today’s generation — success is not built in panic during the last few weeks before exams. It is built quietly every day through consistency and discipline.
According to him, many students create unnecessary pressure by postponing studies until examinations approach. He believes that regular study habits, proper time management, and reducing distractions can completely change academic performance and mental peace.
Even when he used his mobile phone, it was only for understanding educational concepts better and improving his learning process.
Following this remarkable accomplishment, Prathamesh now dreams of becoming an AI Engineer, hoping to contribute meaningfully to the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence.
Prathmesh also credits Shiv Science Classes as one of the strongest pillars behind his success. He says the institute supported him not only academically but emotionally as well. From regular practice sessions and doubt-solving to continuous encouragement, the teachers ensured that students remained motivated and confident throughout their journey.
