Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Union Budget 2024, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha. The Prime Minister highlighted the budget’s focus on broad-based development and empowerment across various sectors of society.
In his video message, PM Modi lauded the budget’s comprehensive approach, stating, “I congratulate the citizens on the budget which will take the country to new heights of development. This budget is designed to strengthen every section of society, continuing the empowerment of the new middle class. It will drive prosperity for villages, the poor, and farmers.”
PM Modi emphasized the budget’s role in advancing education and skill development, pointing out that it will offer “unlimited new opportunities” for the youth. He noted that the budget includes measures to support the middle class and provide empowerment schemes for Dalits and backward classes. “The MSMEs will see new avenues for development, and there is a significant focus on manufacturing and infrastructure, which will accelerate financial growth,” he added.
Addressing employment opportunities, the Prime Minister specifically mentioned the Employment Linked Incentive scheme, which is aimed at generating job opportunities. “Under this scheme, the government will cover the first salary for those entering the workforce. Youth from villages will have the chance to work with top companies through the apprenticeship program. We must strive to create entrepreneurs in every town, every village, and every household,” he said.
PM Modi also highlighted the budget’s provisions for strengthening education and skill training, as well as supporting the financial participation of women. He expressed confidence that these measures will contribute to robust economic development and self-employment opportunities, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and empowerment.
